Dorothy is a Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist with 22 years Medical Coding, extensive Medical Insurance comprehension and industry knowledge. She has exhaustive experience driving process improvements and a proven capability of working through bureaucratic red tape with insurance companies, hospitals, and other medical services.

Dorothy is adept at program direction, including statistical data management, reports, admissions, and patient advocacy. She has solid administrative and referral experience, including admissions, assessments, treatment and education for a broad range of patients.

With her extensive prior authorization experience of disputed cases involving medications, hospitalization, surgical proceduresa and medical test ( CT scans, MRI's, etc.), she can act as a liaison between physicians and the patients by quick and thorough follow-up regarding health and care needs and questions.

With her years of experience in business administrative support she is an acomplished communicator, with excellent negotiation and written/oral presentation skills. She is able to relate comfortably and effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Brenda is a member of the American Medical Billing Association, as well as the American Academy of Professional Coders, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Roanoke Valley.
