Dan Rosenfelt graduated from Johns Hopkins University and Columbia Law School. For more then 40 years, Mr. Rosenfelt has successfully litigated precedent-setting cases in the fields of personal injury, tribal jurisdiction, school law, water rights, and the taxation of Indian resources.*
Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Rosenfelt was an Assistant Solicitor witht he United States Department of the Interior, an Associate Professor of Law at Gonzaga Law School, a Senior Staff Attorney at Harvard University's Center for Law and Education, and a Staff Attorney with the California Indian Legal Services.
The author of authoritative books and articles on Federal Indian Law, Mr.
Rosenfelt is licensed to practice law in New Mexico, Arizona, and the Navajo
Nation, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United
States.
Currently, Mr. Rosenfelt handles personal injury, medical
negligence, product liability, and Federal Indian Law cases, along with any
other legal matters he may find interesting.

Forrest Buffington
Forrest Buffington, a director of the firm and managing director in our Gallup office, was graduated from Baylor University Law School in 1978, after which he moved to the Four Corners area where he practiced in both the private and public sectors for a decade. He served as District Attorney for McKinley County for another decade, from 1989-1999.
In addition to his extensive experience in criminal law and litigation in the Four Corners area, he has broad experience in several civil law areas, including federal Indian law. Mr. Buffington also has in-depth involvement with the tribal law systems of Zuni Pueblo and the Navajo Nation that reaches back more than 20 years.
Mr. Buffington's areas of practice include litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury, criminal defense, Indian law, family law, employment law, and business law.* He is licensed to practice law in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and the Navajo Nation, and before the Hopi Tribal Court and the Zuni Tribal Court.

Susan Widner
Susan Herrera Widner, a 1998 graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, joined the firm after first gaining experience in insurance defense with a private law firm.
While in law school, Ms. Widner was Notes and Comments Editor of the New Mexico Law Review. Immediately after graduation, she clerked for the Honorable Richard C. Bosson at the New Mexico State Court of Appeals.
Ms. Widner is licensed to practice law in Arizona, New Mexico, and the Navajo Nation.
Ms. Widner’s areas of interest include personal injury, interstate motor carrier / trucking litigation, and Indian law. She is located in the firm’s Albuquerque office.
